Introducing TiVo’s Studio, Broadcaster and Network Metadata Packages

Metadata for Studios, Broadcasters & Networks
April 11, 2017 ~ tivoblogdraft

With the National Association of Broadcasters’ annual NAB Show right around the corner, it’s the perfect time for us to introduce TiVo’s Metadata Packages for Studios, Broadcasters and Networks.

The new packages are designed to make entire TV and movie catalogs more discoverable. They help increase viewer engagement and enhance entertainment experiences across platforms using our market-leading Video Metadata, which covers 17+ million TV shows, movies and sporting events in 70+ countries.

TiVo’s Studio, Broadcaster and Network Metadata Packages include:

  • Catalog Enrichment Services to deliver enhanced metadata about TV and movies such as keywords, mood, theme and tone
  • Metadata Distribution Services for seamless availability to various distribution platforms that have their own proprietary metadata standards, including over-the-top (OTT) platforms and independent affiliates
  • Metadata Management Services created specifically for broadcaster, partner and affiliate workflows

What this means for studios, broadcasters and networks is the ability to breathe new life into older properties and programs that may be overlooked due to the sheer breadth of their catalogs. By enriching video metadata, they can better present connections that exist between related content, and be able to seamlessly deliver that programming on multiple formats.

Viewers will be able to enjoy deeper entertainment discovery experiences that are relevant, personalized and ultimately more rewarding.

Powered by TiVo’s Knowledge Graph Engine, our Video Metadata enables delivery of timely, trending and popular search results and recommendations that are progressively smarter, relevant and tailored to each individual and situation.

These package offerings mark the first time TiVo has licensed its enhanced Metadata.
