“The Voice” Final Four, and One Bold Prediction

Last night, the final four contestants on NBC’s The Voice strutted their stuff with three performances each. Our top watched TiVo moments tell the story. Christina and Chris Mann’s duet of “The Prayer,” came through as the top-ranked performance, with Jermain Paul’s solo rendition of “I Believe I Can Fly” close behind. However, Juliette Simms’ solo, dedication and duet performances combined helped put her overall viewership ahead of all the competition. Our favorite was her fantastic rendition of Gnarles Barkley’s “Crazy” — dedicated to her coach, Cee Lo Green. We’ve been looking at the numbers, and we’ve got a bold prediction. We could be right, we could be wrong, but we predict Juliette Simms will be the final victor in The Voice on NBC this season.

In addition to the numbers from TiVo boxes nation-wide, we used a little stat we like to call “social momentum.” As voting-driven reality shows such as The Voice take on new lives through social media, contestant personalities and video replays have a big influence on voters’ decisions.

Since last night’s episode, Juliette has shown more activity on Facebook and YouTube than the other “Final Four” competitors, tipping the scales of fate in her favor. Tony Lucca leads in momentum on Twitter, but sadly for Tony, Twitter doesn’t display pics and video the same way Facebook and YouTube can. We think this increased attention on Juliette signals a boost in fan interest that will carry her into stardom. What do you think — will Juliette reign as champ?
