Can tonight’s Glee outdo the ‘Whitney’ episode?

Two weeks ago Glee blew our minds with a multi-colored LED dance floor (how did Sue get that into the music room?) and a drag-tastic performance of “Boogie Shoes” (the dress! the choreography!). Then, last Tuesday, our ears were treated to a Whitney Houston tribute episode, Dance With Somebody. Everyone poured their hearts out in so many Whitney covers!

The show’s kick off number, an a cappella rendition of “How Will I Know,” which coated the halls of Lima High with a thick layer of beauty and intensity, was rivaled only by Blaine’s spine-tingling performance of “It’s Not Right But It’s Ok.” Of the three duets, Rachel and Santana were on fire for a show-stopping “So Emotional,” while Brittany and Santana’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)” brought on tears of delight, thanks to their incredible chemistry and Brittany’s titillating dance moves.

If guts count for anything, the most awkward and sexual duet of the episode (maybe in Glee history?) came from Quinn and our new friend Joe. “Saving All My Love for You,” was a ballad known as Whitney’s unadulterated love letter to an under-wraps lover. Kurt’s solo response to Blaine with “I Have Nothing,” was wow-worthy, but just didn’t shine as brightly as the many exceptional performances from this episode. The show finished with a heart-warming gathering of the entire glee club singing “My Love Is Your Love” in their most-loved venue: the auditorium stage.

This warm and fuzzy episode leads us to the question – what will this week bring? In the sneak-peek for next week’s episode (Choke), it looks like Whoopie makes Rachel cry! Or Rachel makes herself cry! Or Kurt beats Rachel in an audition finally!

Put it on the TiVo, and tell us what you think!
