New shows for your Season Pass® recordings list

For the past few weeks here at TiVo we have been overjoyed to see all our favorite shows come back from their winter hiatus. However, along with all our favorites came some new shows to our prime time lineup. Here is a list of a few shows we thought you might like to add to your TiVo recordings list this spring.

Mad Love: If you’re looking for a funny easy to watch show Mad Love is for you. Hopelessly romantic Ben is a New York lawyer trying to build a life with the woman of his dreams, Kate. Ben’s coarse best friend and co-worker Larry doesn’t believe in love, which leaves him plenty of time to flex his muscles as a third wheel. Kate’s roommate, Connie, makes it clear that she finds Larry’s presence irritating, but doth the lady protest too much? It seems Connie and Larry may have more in common than they are willing to admit, if they’d just let their guards down long enough to see it.

Shameless: This is one of our favorite new shows this season. If you want to watch something a little more edgy al la HBO’s Weeds, Shameless is right up your alley. Oscar-nominated actor William H. Macy stars as Frank Gallagher, a single father of six. Frank spends much of his free time drinking at bars. The Gallagher children, led by oldest daughter Fiona (Emmy Rossum), manage to raise themselves in spite of Frank’s lack of parenting and unusual parenting style when he does choose to act like a father.

Off the Map: If you love one of Shondra Rhimes other medical dramas (Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice) you will be able to fall right into Off the Map. Idealistic, young Dr. Lily Brenner lands at an understaffed medical clinic in a tiny town in the South American jungle. She is joined by other young doctors, all of whom are running away from personal demons. The clinic was founded by enigmatic Ben Keeton, who was formerly the youngest chief of surgery at UCLA. Keeton will teach the newcomers how to save lives in the most-challenging environment they have ever faced.

Harry’s Law: Addicted to all of the other legal dramas on TV? Then add this one to your TiVo OnePass® recordings list. Emmy Award winner David E. Kelley created this series about fate and the people it brings together. It stars Academy Award winner Kathy Bates as Harriet, a tough talker who is looking for a fresh start after being fired from her job as a patent lawyer. Harriet’s world collides with Malcolm, a young man trying to figure out life, and Adam, a legal hotshot who decides to leave his firm to work with her. Along with Harriet’s assistant, Jenna, the unlikely team starts a law practice in an unlikely place, a rundown shoe store.

Episodes: We love Matt LeBlanc, so if you loved him on Friends give this show a shot. Matt LeBlanc stars in this comedy series as … Matt LeBlanc. The former “Friends” actor stars as an actor who is cast in an American version of a couple’s British sitcom that is popular overseas. But, as the star, LeBlanc reworks the show into what turns out to be a terrible cliché, causing tension in the couple’s marriage.
